This position includes tutoring students in math and language arts, guiding small-group instruction, and managing elective courses under the supervision of certified teachers. This is an opportunity to directly impact students learning while gaining valuable professional experience in a rewarding, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one or small group academic support in alignment with certified teacher instruction.Assist certified staff in creating strategies that meet individual students needs, interests, and abilities.Support students in using online software programs, monitor progress, and proctor tests or makeup work as needed.Communicate regularly with certified teachers about student progress and needs.Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance student learning.QualificationsHigh school diploma required; some higher education preferred.18 college credits or the ability to pass a PRAXIS exam.Strong aptitude for working with children, parents, and teachers.Interest in education and helping students learn and grow.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.Willing to use technology.Working at Gem PrepWe hire and develop excellent educators and provide strong support.
