Part-Time 1099 3D Landscape Designer / Salesperson (Residential)

Overview

We’re a high-end residential landscape design + installation company looking for a part-time 1099 designer who can also sell. This role is for someone who can take a lead from initial contact through design, presentation, and close—then hand off clean details for install.

You’ll create 3D concept designs that help clients visualize the transformation, build trust, and move forward confidently.

What You’ll Do

• Run initial consultations
• Take measurements, photos, and notes (or work from info we provide)
• Build 3D residential landscape concepts (plants, layout, lighting, beds, hardscape accents, etc.)
• Present designs to homeowners and guide them to a decision
• Create proposal-ready scope notes and selections (materials/planting concepts)
• Follow up with leads and keep deals moving (text/calls/email)
• Coordinate with our team so what’s sold can be installed smoothly

Required Skills / Experience

• Proven ability to produce clean, attractive 3D landscape designs (portfolio required)
• Comfortable talking to homeowners
• Knowledge of plants/materials common to South Florida
• Strong communication and responsiveness
• Ability to work independently and hit deadlines
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with VIP3D / Structure Studios, SketchUp + Lumion/Enscape, Realtime Landscape, or similar
• Past experience selling landscape installs, outdoor living, pools, or home services
• Familiarity with quoting tools/CRMs

Compensation (1099)

• Expect $30,000 - $60,000 annually depending on workload

Schedule & Work Style

• Part-time, flexible schedule
• Some work is remote (design + follow-ups), with occasional site visits
• We’re looking for someone who can handle multiple projects per month consistently
