Meadow Creek Academy seeks a part-time teacher to lead English Language Arts and Math for our 4th and 5th grade classes during the 2025–26 school year. This role is ideal for a flexible, organized educator who thrives in small-group settings and enjoys tailoring instruction to meet each student’s needs.

The Ideal Candidate

• Organized, reliable, and flexible
• Skilled at teaching both ELA and Math in engaging, age-appropriate ways
• Experienced in leading small-group lessons and managing students working at different levels
• Confident differentiating instruction and providing individualized feedback
• Communicative and relationship-focused with students and families
• Experienced in upper elementary teaching, ideally in multi-level or hybrid classrooms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Minimum 2 years of upper elementary teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of 4th–5th grade ELA and Math standards and strategies
• Proven ability to design lessons for varied learning levels
• Effective classroom management and collaboration skills

Position Details

• Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:30–4:30
• Calendar: 32-week teacher / 31-week student year
• Class size: Up to 12 students
• Pay: $24–$27/hour
• Location: Alvin, Texas (near Friendswood)

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging ELA and Math lessons for Grades 4–5
• Lead small-group instruction and adjust pacing to support varied academic levels
• Scaffold lessons to build reading, writing, and problem-solving confidence
• Monitor individual progress and provide clear, consistent feedback
• Foster a respectful, encouraging classroom that celebrates curiosity and growth
• Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with colleagues
• Participate in meetings, events, and professional development
