Job Title: Part‑Time Accountant (QuickBooks Desktop)
Location: Karachi,North Naziamabad

About Us
We are a software house — developing and delivering software services/products. As we grow, we need an organized and reliable accountant/bookkeeper to manage financial records, invoicing, vendor payments, payroll, and reporting for our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial records using QuickBooks Desktop — record transactions, manage chart of accounts, journal entries, receipts, payments, expenses.
- Handle accounts payable (vendor bills, payments for software services, licenses, vendors) and accounts receivable (invoicing clients for software/services, tracking payments) and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Perform routine bank and cash‑account reconciliations to ensure records match bank statements.
- Generate periodic financial reports — balance sheet, profit & loss (income statement), cash flow summaries, and other reports useful for management decision‑making.
- Assist with payroll processing (if applicable) — record salaries (e.g. for developers, staff), advances, deductions, and related entries.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of bookkeeping — correct errors, adjust entries as needed, and maintain organized financial files.
- Support month‑end / quarter‑end / year‑end closing processes; assist in preparation for audits or compliance‑related documentation if required.
- Provide financial data and insights to management — help analyze expenses, revenue streams (client billing, project-based income), cash flow trends, and profitability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field — or relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Proven proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop (or similar accounting software), ideally with experience in service‑based/technology businesses.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles: double‑entry bookkeeping, ledger management, reconciliation, payables/receivables, accruals, etc.
- Competence in spreadsheet tools (e.g. Excel) for data management — exports/imports, adjustments, supplementary reports.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, reliable, and trustworthy — able to handle sensitive financial data.
- Good communication skills — ability to coordinate with vendors, clients (for invoicing/receivables), and internal teams (dev, HR, operations).
Preferred (Optional)
- Prior experience handling accounting/bookkeeping for a software house, tech‑services or other service‑based company.
- Familiarity with payroll, statutory compliance, or local tax/financial regulations in Pakistan (especially for software firms).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision — fits well for part‑time or hybrid working model.
- Flexibility in working hours, given that in tech‑businesses, revenue and expenses may fluctuate (projects, vendor payments, client invoices).
What We Offer / Working Conditions
- Part‑time working hours — flexible schedule based on workload and business needs.
- Opportunity to handle full‑cycle bookkeeping: invoicing, receivables/payables, payroll, reporting — great exposure for someone who wants hands‑on accounting experience in a software business.
- Potential to grow into more senior or full‑time finance/management‑accounting role as company grows.
- A supportive and dynamic work environment — working with a tech‑driven software house, where accounting feeds into business decisions, projects, budgets, and growth.
