Part-time Accountant

We are looking for a part-time Staff Accountant to join our team at Helms, DeWitt & Associates, PLLC! We are a small, public accounting firm located on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. The position includes competitive pay, a retirement package, life insurance, and paid vacation/holiday. The pay for this position will be commensurate with experience. The duties of this position will mainly include bookkeeping, preparing monthly financial statements, payroll, client communication, and administrative work. The ideal candidate possesses 2-5 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience in the public accounting sector. However, other candidates will be considered, even those with little experience looking to get their foot in the door in this industry. This position is part time and will entail working 20 hours per week. It is not a remote position. Also, this position has the potential to turn into more opportunity as the company grows. In addition, there may be the opportunity to prepare tax returns in this position if the candidate shows interest. We are looking to fill this position by July 1st.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
