Part time accountant /bookkeeper

Duties

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks,
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings in compliance with applicable regulations
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries to support organizational decision-making and external reporting requirements
• Maintain general ledger accounting records following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Support budgeting activities and conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement

Experience

• Proficiency with Quickbooks; familiarity with financial concepts like debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting practices
• Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis accurately
• Experience with tax preparation, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and 10-key typing skills are highly desirable
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
