Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Reports To: CEO

Pay range: $17-$22 per hour

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant at National Wire & Metal Tech plays a critical role in supporting all aspects of office operations for a small manufacturing company. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities, including administrative tasks, basic accounting support, purchasing, scheduling, and customer communication. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the CEO and other team members to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
  • Manage day-to-day office tasks, including filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documents using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and handle general inquiries.
  • Accounting & Financial Support:
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records and support month-end reporting.
  • Purchasing & Inventory:
  • Process purchase orders and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Track office and production supplies and reorder as needed.
  • Customer Service & Communication:
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, delivery schedules, and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely fulfillment of customer needs.
  • General Office Management:
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee office equipment and supply management.
  • Special Projects:
  • Assist the CEO with strategic initiatives, marketing tasks, and process improvements.
  • Support HR-related tasks such as onboarding and maintaining employee records (if needed).

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years in an administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing or small business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting software.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and purchasing processes.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
