36 Education is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistants to join our growing team, with the option to become full-time later. There are currently two other part-time Administrative Assistants as well as a full-time Administrative Assistant you'll be training under. This role reports to the Executive Director of Operations and will require roughly 20-35 hours per week of weekday, daytime work. Successful employees will likely have the option to come on full-time down the road, but may also stay part-time if that suits their career plans better.
All work is done remotely.
- Responsibilities will involve supporting internal operations, such as scheduling, managing emails for executive(s), grading tests, data entry, communicating with clients.
- This is not a temporary job. Employees who thrive here usually stay with us for many years. It takes a significant amount of time to learn all of the processes, and this role isn't designed to function well as a stepping stone to something else.
- While remote, this job does require predictable and consistent work hours (for example, 9-2 Eastern Monday through Friday).
Requirements:
- Experience in (or knowledge of!) the test prep, college admissions, or similar industry is a bonus, some knowledge of the ACT or SAT and college admissions process also a bonus. Extra industry training will be provided for truly exceptional candidates with no experience in the industry.
- An impeccable sense for detail, since writing clear and thoughtful client-facing emails and processing accurate billing are part of the role.
- A strong, reliable internet connection and computer.
- Tech-savviness: this role will require daily use of Acuity Scheduling, Trello, Google Sheets/Calendar/Docs. Training will be provided, but speed and efficiency are of paramount importance.
- Caring and empathetic interest in students and parents as people, not just clients.
- Deep commitment to the client—diligent, responsible, communicative, articulate.
- Answers to the pre-screening questions below.
Compensation:
- $15/hour (or minimum wage, whichever is higher) for training/trial period (~6 weeks) and $20/hour to $24/hour for part-time administrative work, depending on cost of living. A higher rate may be available for candidates with an extraordinary amount of experience in the industry.
- The full-time salary ranges from $40,000-$55,000 depending on expertise and cost of living.
- After 3 months, you will be given the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) with a 4% employer match.
- Paychecks are sent bi-weekly on Fridays via direct deposit.
What people like about working here:
- Culture: we prioritize family life and personal health.
- Clients: we are a purely referral-based company, and we develop deep and long-lasting relationships with the families who work with us.
- Our team: we’re nerdy, compassionate, progressive, hard-working, and obsessed with helping students.
