Job Description

We are seeking a passionate AP Biology tutor to support high school students in mastering college-level biological concepts. Sessions will be held in person and will focus on both conceptual understanding and exam strategy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person tutoring sessions for individual students or small groups
• Cover AP Biology units including cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and biochemistry
• Guide students through past AP exam questions and free-response writing techniques
• Monitor student understanding and adapt lesson plans to target weak areas
• Maintain clear communication with students and families about academic progress

Requirements

• Degree or strong academic background in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching at the high school or college level preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the College Board AP Biology framework
• Ability to explain complex biological concepts clearly and accessibly
• Patient, dependable, and student-focused approach
