Part-Time Assistant Research Scientist (Zhou Lab)

The Zhou lab is seeking to fill a part-time Assistant Research Scientist position starting January 15, 2026 for a project on the fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans. Responsibilities may include performing genome editing and characterization of phenotypes in C. neoformans and in S. cerevisiae.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $22/hr for 27 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Qualifications being sought are previous wet-lab experiences, microbiology techniques and molecular cloning skills.
