Part-time Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Square POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures during preparation and service.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and other café products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance barista skills and knowledge of coffee varieties and brewing techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests.
• Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus; willingness to learn new systems is essential.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are necessary.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to food preparation and handling is important.
