Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
• Operate Square POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using proper cashiering procedures
• Support sales efforts by upselling menu items and promoting daily specials to enhance customer experience

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience preferred, with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
• Familiarity with Square POS system is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment through excellent time management skills
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and food preparation standards
• Ability to work flexible hours as part of a dynamic team in a café or retail setting
