Responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance the general ledger using accounting software
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Perform account reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Quicken or QuickBooks
- Solid understanding of account reconciliation processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with 10-key typing for efficient data entry
