Part-Time Dog Walker

Job Summary

Duties

• Lead engaging and safe walks with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels, ensuring proper handling and supervision at all times
• Observe and respond to dogs’ behavior during walks, applying dog training techniques to promote good manners and safety
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by cleaning up after dogs during outings, wiping paws when its raining, etc.
• Communicate effectively with management or pet parents when needed regarding their pets’ behavior, health, or special needs
• Assist with pet sitting duties when needed, providing companionship and basic care in clients’ homes
• Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable form of transportation
• Prior experience with dog walking, pet sitting, or animal care is highly desirable
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs safely during walks and other activities
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for transporting if needed
