Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to help preserve, maintain, and enhance a beautiful 15-acre private estate and hobby farm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining landscapes, and is comfortable operating a variety of equipment.
Duties
- Maintain and enhance the estate’s landscape by mowing lawns (6 acres), trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and performing seasonal gardening tasks.
- Apply fertilizers and weed control products in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
- Perform minor general maintenance including residential painting, changing lightbulbs, organizing the workshop and garage, and moving materials or equipment. to keep the estate in excellent condition.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance, including monitoring oil, fluid levels, and tire pressure.
- Operate facilities maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, tractors,
- a front-end loader, and three-point hitch attachments such as a brush hog and disc harrow.
- Support safety protocols by inspecting fencing, gates, lighting, and security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory.
- Assist with residential painting projects and other aesthetic improvements around the estate.
Skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Dependable and able to work independently once trained.
- Experience with groundskeeping or equipment operation preferred but not required, training provided.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for repairs or installations.
- Fluency in English for clear communication across team members and vendors.
