Part-Time General Maintenance Technician

CASS Winery is seeking a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, functionality, and guest experience across the property, including for different departments (Geneseo Inn, CASS Events, and the CASS Tasting Room & Café).

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and can assist with both preventative maintenance and day-to-day property upkeep in a hospitality-focused environment. This part-time role is expected to average 3–4 days per week, with weekly scheduled hours averaging under 30, based on business needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize PPE as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines.
• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests/customers/internal staff to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform various minor repairs and preventative maintenance on guest rooms at Geneseo Inn
• Perform various minor repairs in event spaces, cafe/tasting room areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Assist with grounds clean-up, general outdoor upkeep, and light landscaping (weeding and assisting with the upkeep of the Chef's gardens)
• Move furniture, tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, and materials as needed for each department
• Help set up or support event-related operational needs
• Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate each day's activities and problems that occur to the appropriate departments using approved communication programs and standards.
• Support seasonal projects and general upkeep of facilities and grounds
• Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter cleaning and replacement; and the complete and thorough clean-up of the repair area.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g. unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, golf carts, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets
• Complete interior and exterior property painting, touch-ups, and cosmetic upkeep as needed
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior of buildings.
• Represent the company with professionalism when interacting with guests and vendors.
• Work respectfully around guests, visitors, and occupied spaces

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year(s) maintenance experience
• Comfort communicating about maintenance issues or projects in English
• Basic experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, landscaping, hospitality maintenance operations, or related hands-on work
• Knowledge of simple tools, safe chemical usage, and safe equipment usage
• Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and complete tasks independently
• Able to lift, carry, push, and move furniture/equipment (50+ lbs)
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexible and comfortable working between multiple on-site locations

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
