Part-Time Household Assistant / Nanny (Long-Term)

Location: Scarsdale, New York,
Start Date: ASAP ideally by May,
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2-8
Guaranteed Hours: 30 Hours per week,
Pay: $35-40 per hour

A warm, busy family with two children (ages 5 and 1) and a baby due in May is seeking a part-time Household Assistant/Nanny to support our home during weekday afternoon. We are looking for a dependable, engaging professional who is proactive, responsible, and comfortable balancing household support with childcare. A love for dogs is essential.

Responsibilities

Childcare

Hours: 2-8pm Monday- Friday,

• Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for a 5-year-old and 1-year-old

• Engage children in play, learning activities, and outdoor time

• Assist with routines such as meals/snacks, diapering, and transitions

• Support family routines as the household prepares for a new baby

• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized environment

Household Support

• Daily family laundry (washing, folding, and putting away)

• Light housekeeping and general tidying (deep cleaning handled by a separate service)

• Keeping children’s areas, kitchen, and common spaces neat and organized

• Light household organization as needed

Pet Care

• Dog walking and basic daily pet care

• Maintaining a pet-friendly home environment

Ideal Candidate

• Engaging, professional, responsible, and proactive

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks independently

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• COVID-19 vaccination

• Previous experience in childcare, housekeeping, and pet care preferred

• Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States

• Ability to provide 3–5 professional references
