Part-Time Housekeeping Support (Growth into Lead Role)
Gothic Heights Inn is a small, well-maintained boutique inn set within a restored historic church in St. Louis. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to support weekly operations, with a clear path to grow into a lead housekeeping role over time.
This is a consistent, low-stress position with short shifts, focused on keeping the property clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the week.
Schedule
- Wednesday: ~2 hours
- Thursday: ~2 hours
- Saturday: ~1.5–2 hours (with our primary cleaner)
- Sunday: occasional/on-call (paid if needed)
Additional optional hours may be available Monday or Tuesday depending on workload.
What You’ll Do
- Laundry (linens, towels, folding, staging for upcoming stays)
- Mop floors, including edges and corners
- Light dusting, cobweb removal, detail work
- Reset and maintain common areas
- Restock coffee, snacks, and supplies
- Assist with room turnovers on weekends
- Learn and follow a consistent cleaning system
Growth Opportunity
This role is designed to grow into a lead housekeeping position. You will be trained on full room turnovers and, over time, may take on additional responsibility including running turnover days independently.
Compensation
- Starting rate: $22–$24/hour depending on experience
- Pay increases as you learn and take on more responsibility
- Higher rates available for team members who can complete full room turnovers independently
- Top pay for this role is $33/hour for someone who can run turnover days on their own
