Job Title: HR Manager - Part Time

Location: Mind, Body, and Soul TherapyCounseling- Remote

Reports To: Director of Staff Development

Position Summary: The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to establish and maintain best practices in HR while ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work culture, and driving employee engagement and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are representative of the scope of work expected in this role (additional tasks may be assigned):

  • Apply HR best practices to support a diverse, multidisciplinary team within a private practice setting.
  • Provide guidance to Leadership and staff on HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Support Director of Staff Development with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of employees
  • Manage an HRIS (iSolved) that supports organizational needs, including:
    • Payroll
    • Health Benefits administration
    • IRA enrollment
    • PTO enrollment
    • FMLA and leave tracking
    • COBRA and compliance reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files, employee handbooks, and HR policy manuals.
  • Manage HR compliance reporting (e.g., ACA, EEOC, OSHA, Department of Labor) and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA, Department of Health, and other regulatory standards relevant to a healthcare setting.
  • Participate in special projects and organization-wide initiatives as assigned.
  • Ability to work a flexible and virtual 5-10 hours per week schedule

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 4–5 years of progressively responsible HR experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Certifications and Requirements

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required or in active pursuit

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and HR best practices
  • Proficient in HRIS, Google WorkSpace, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make evidence-based recommendations
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, mission-driven, and highly regulated environment
  • Communicate with manager and leadership team in a timely manner and as necessary
