Part-time Interior Designer

Overview:

ArchiUS Design is a full-service residential architecture and design firm in the greater Seattle area, specializing in contemporary PNW design. We have an immediate opening for an interior designer focusing on finishes and fixture selection. This role requires a creative eye for design, colors, and material choice, understanding constraints, and being able to influence clients and the team. Finishes can range from cabinets, countertops, tiles, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures and paint color selections.

Position Details:

• Part-time position with 20 hours/week (flexible timings)
• Located in Greater Seattle area; able to get to on-site meetings
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Work remotely using your own computer
• Attend weekly meetings (virtually), meet on-site and in stores in person (as needed)
• Compensation aligned with industry standards

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Independent, curious, organized, clear communicator, tech savvy, eye for detail

• Knowledge of custom residential design preferred
• Guide clients through store visits and material explorations and presenting thoughtful, well‑curated options
• Collaborate effectively with product reps to stay updated on materials, finishes, and availability
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality service to clients
• Develop space plans that are thoughtful, creative and aligned with client’s vision
• Put together a technical set of drawings from programming to construction documents w/ floor plans, interior elevations, material finish schedules and spec book
• Create compelling material and mood boards for each project
• Prepare comprehensive lighting plans and specifications
• As needed, create high quality interior architectural 3D models and renderings to facilitate the design process and communicate design intent to the client
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Canva, Microsoft 365 Office Suite

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Interior Design or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in selecting finishes, fixtures and putting together mood boards & presentation drawings
• 1+ years of experience in design, construction, or architecture industry
• 2+ years of experience with MS Office suite – Teams, Word, SharePoint etc.
• 2+ years of experience in client or customer facing role

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
