Part-Time Lab assistant (ideal for biology, chemistry, lab science student)

The American Dermatopathology Laboratory is a private medical lab specialized in processing and interpreting skin biopsies from patients with skin rashes and tumors. We have an opening for a part-time, in the afternoon & early evening 2pm-6:00pm (4-6 hours depending on availability of the applicant and work load) Lab Aid Technician works on collecting skin specimens from local dermatology offices, rack, accession, write, label and file slides. Monday to Friday. Weekends off.

Local Sinclair Community College or Wright State University Biology, Chemistry or Lab science students are encouraged to apply. We are flexible to accommodate student schedule. This provides a steady income for anyone interested.

We will train the right candidate even if that person has no experience.

Prerequisites for applicants:

· Self-motivated and able to work independently

· Highly organized with attention to detail

· Positive and energetic

· Excellent communication skills and follow-through skills

.Typing 50-60 WPM

· Education requirements are as follows if to be trained in-house:

At least 60 semester college/university credit hours to include a minimum of 24 semester credits in ONE of the following:

- Medical lab technology OR

- Biology and Chemistry distributed as follows (six credits in biology,

six credits in chemistry and 12 credits in any combination of

chemistry/biology). OR 2-year associate degree or bachelor’s degree

in biology, chemistry, or lab science/technology.
