Part-Time Library Teacher - Virtual Learning Academy

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

$4,500 Stipend per semester (8-10 hours per week)

BT BOCES is seeking a NYS certified Library Teacher to join our Virtual Learning Academy. Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering two live virtual library lessons per week:
  • One 40-minute lesson for students in Grades 4-5
  • One 40-minute lesson for students in Grade 6
• Supporting students' reading, research, and digital literacy skills through virtual library instruction and resources.
• Managing the VLA's SORA online library account

Live instruction takes place during the school day between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The position requires approximately 8-10 hours per week, including planning, instruction, and library management responsibilities. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about literacy, technology, and engaging students in an online setting.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate NYS Library Certification required
