Part-Time LIC Based Dog Walker

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible part-time LIC Based Dog Walker to join and help grow our team!

This role involves providing exceptional pet care and dog walking services within the local community, ensuring dogs are safely exercised and well-cared for. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent handling skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, build relationships with pet owners, and contribute positively to animal well-being.

Currently, this route is still being established and will begin as part-time Wednesdays and Thursdays and eventually progress into full-time. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about their position and be open to meeting new clients and promoting Misfits Dog Walking in an effort to further build their route.

Responsibilities

• Safely walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, adhering to scheduled appointments.
• Provide attentive pet care during work hours, including feeding as needed, replenishing water and picking up after dog inside and outside of apartment.
• Handle animals with patience and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment during all services being provided.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior, health concerns, or special needs via TimeToPet application.
• Assist with pet sitting duties, including feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior overnight.
• Maintain accurate records of each visit or walk, noting any concerns or observations on the end of walk TimeToPet Report Card.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dog walking/animal handling is preferred. 6 months minimum.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Passion for animals and a genuine interest in their well-being.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
