Part-time, Live-out Nanny, Brooklyn, 2 Children

2 Warm, High‑Energy, Enthusiastic Weekend Nannies are needed for a busy Brooklyn family.

Schedule:

Two Weekend Roles:

  • Role 1: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8 am–7 pm- 33 guaranteed hours.
  • Role 2: Saturday 12 pm–10 pm & Sunday 12 pm–8 pm- 18 guaranteed hours.Additional hours available if desired.The Family:
  • This busy, loving household has two working parents—one with a high‑pressure role and frequent last‑minute travel, the other working most afternoons outside the home.
  • The family values warmth, adaptability, teamwork, and excellent communication.
  • They maintain a well‑structured home supported by multiple weekday nannies, a dedicated infant caregiver, an early morning sitter, and a housekeeper.
  • The home is lively, collaborative, and requires someone who can join a well‑established childcare team.
  • No pets.

The Children

  • 7.5‑month‑old girl:
  • An easygoing, observant infant who enjoys a warm, joyful presence.
  • She is adorable, can take a little time to warm up to new faces and benefits from gentle transitions.
  • Naps are essential and we like to keep her on regular routines.
  • She has started her solids journey with a mix of baby‑led weaning with occasional purées, she enjoys both.
  • 2.5‑year‑old boy:
  • An articulate, confident, imaginative child whose brain is continually in motion.
  • He thrives with warm, happy energy and adults who meet him where he is and engage in play and answering his many curious questions. Inside the home he’s calm, focused and organized; outside he’s active, fast, and on the move—playgrounds and outdoor time are essential for this little guy so bring your running shoes!
  • He loves art, strategic games, matching games especially, and mental stimulation.
  • He attends a morning half‑day school program which he loves.
  • As the youngest child in his class, he mostly parallel plays alongside his peers so will benefit from ongoing support with socialization and forming friendships.

The Role:

  • Both weekend nannies will primarily support both children.
  • You’ll provide infant care on Friday mornings until another caregiver arrives at noon and tag teams the remainder of that day.
  • On Saturday and Sunday you’ll partner up with shared responsibilities include engaging age‑appropriate play, outdoor activities, simple homemade meal prep for the children (no added sugar, no processed foods), bottle feeding, diapering, supporting naps, light tidying of child spaces and maintaining their laundry.
  • A teamwork approach, sleeves rolled up and ready to pitch in approaches are sought and highly valued
  • Please be a confident swimmer and comfortable navigating NYC public transit for future needs. Current activities are still close to home
  • Cooking for children only; fresh prep is needed on weekends.

Travel:

  • The family travel several times a year.
  • Destinations are warm‑weather locations (not ski trips).
  • Travel occurs in summer, fall, and over winter holidays.
  • Locations of each will determine whether they may ask you to join for your weekend shift.

You:

  • You genuinely love and enjoy children, you take feedback well, and thrive in a structured, multi‑nanny household and broader staffed team.
  • You work hard, stay organized, set appropriate boundaries, and can follow household preferences with consistency.
  • You are friendly but maintain professional boundaries and are not overly chatty.
  • You are kind, warm, adaptable, and able to read cues, knowing when to step in and when to step back.
  • CPR/First Aid (infant, child, adult) required—renewable upon hire. Up‑to‑date vaccinations preferred (COVID initial series, annual flu- preferred, Tdap, MMR).

The Pay:

  • $45–$50/hr
  • Weekly OMNY pass reimbursement
  • 2 weekends of PTO per year
  • Overnight stipend in addition to all paid working hours.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
