Part-Time Medication Technician (Med Tech) – Sunnyside Senior Living

Sunnyside Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team in providing quality care to our residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Position Overview

The Medication Technician is responsible for assisting with medication administration in accordance with physician orders and RCFE regulations, while supporting residents with their daily care needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with and administer medications as ordered, following all facility policies and RCFE guidelines
• Accurately document medication administration and resident observations using our electronic system (August Health)
• Monitor residents for any changes in condition or adverse reactions and report concerns promptly
• Respond to resident call lights/pendants in a timely manner
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and mobility
• Ensure medications are stored, handled, and disposed of properly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication cart and work area
• Communicate effectively with caregivers, leadership, and healthcare partners including hospice

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Medication Technician or caregiver in an RCFE, assisted living, or similar setting preferred
• Familiarity with medication administration and documentation
• Understanding of resident rights, confidentiality, and quality care standards
• Experience working with memory care and/or hospice residents is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: $17.00 per hour
