Part-Time Nanny Needed - Beach Trips & Baby Giggle Lovers Should Apply

Location: Wilmington, NC (near Mayfaire area)

Pay: $20-$25 per hour

Start Date: Mid-May (some flexibility for the right candidate)

Hours: 20 Guaranteed hours per week

Family Overview:

Meet the family: a laid-back, adventurous duo raising their very first baby — a one-month-old little boy who already has the best gig in town. Dad is a music lover who travels for work, and mom is an entrepreneur who surfs. Yes, surfs. This baby is going to have a very cool life, and his nanny gets to be part of it (including the cool travel perks).

They're looking for a part-time nanny who thrives in the newborn stage, loves being outside, and genuinely lights up when it's tummy time o'clock.

The Day-to-Day:

During wake windows, this nanny is on — engaging, talking, singing, moving, and generally treating this baby like the small curious human he is. Age-appropriate activities that support physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development are the name of the game. When the baby naps, a little help goes a long way: baby laundry, bottle washing, light tidying of common areas, and keeping things generally functional for two busy parents.

Mom would love someone comfortable enough to join her at the beach on occasion — baby in tow, good vibes required. If the nanny happens to play guitar, sing, or have any musical ability whatsoever, dad will probably consider that a personal gift from the universe. It's not required, but it will absolutely earn bonus points.

There's also one dog in the home who needs occasional love — letting them in and out, wiping paws, feeding when needed. Standard dog stuff.

The Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 10:00am–2:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am–12:00pm
• 20 guaranteed hours per week
• First right of refusal for additional hours and date nights.
• Start date: Mid-May (some flexibility for the right candidate)

The family has the ability to shift Monday–Thursday hours slightly later (think 12:00–4:00pm) for the right person, and they appreciate someone who can occasionally flex start times with advance notice. That said, if a consistent set schedule is what works best, they're happy to lock it in.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
• Paid holidays off (when they fall on a regularly scheduled workday)

What This Family Is Looking For:

• Infant care experience — this is a newborn, and comfort with that stage matters
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become so before starting)
• Up to date on Tdap and MMR; willing to get a flu shot at the start of flu season
• Able to pass a background check and provide 2–3 professional references
• Physically active and able to carry 30+ pounds up and down stairs
• Communicative, proactive, and calm under the beautiful chaos that is early infancy
• Comfortable with 1 dog and water
• In it for the long haul — consistency means everything to a growing baby
• Valid passport required. This family travels and may occasionally invite their nanny along for support — both domestically and internationally. Any travel would be covered under a separate travel agreement, but the hours will remain part-time so you can enjoy the time away too
