Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring assistance to access medical appointments, community resources, and other essential destinations. As a key member of our transportation network, you'll ensure dependability, punctuality, compassionate, professional and comfort for every passenger you serve. Duties

  • Safely operate shuttle buses, vans, or limousines to transport clients to medical facilities, pharmacies, and community centers.
  • Assist passengers with mobility needs, including loading and unloading heavy lifting equipment or wheelchairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal safety and appearance.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to confirm appointments and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during each trip.
  • Complete trip logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection checklists accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate with dispatch or supervisors to optimize routes and schedules for efficiency.

Experience

  • Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with paratransit or heavy lifting is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving or bus driving certification is advantageous.
  • Experience operating various vehicle types such as buses, limousines, or school buses is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Customer service experience demonstrating patience, professionalism, and empathy when assisting diverse clients.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks involving light lifting and assist passengers with mobility challenges confidently. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
