The School of Management at Canadian University Dubai is seeking highly qualified part-time faculty members specializing in Operations & Supply Chain Management to teach and support our academic programs. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, maintain academic standards, and contribute to program development on a part-time basis, in alignment with university and UAE Ministry of Higher Education requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academic Duties (Part-Time Load):
- Teach assigned courses in Operations & Supply Chain Management (up to 6 credit hours per semester; equivalent to 2 courses).
- Maintain accurate student records and submit grades to the Registry at midterm and final periods.
- Revise, update, and file lesson plans for each course taught, within one week of semester start.
- Deliver and update course syllabi in line with the official template.
- Recommend learning resources and course materials to enhance student learning.
- Assist in curriculum review, improvement, and new course development as needed.
- Supervise independent studies where applicable.
Stay current with developments in the field through professional engagement.
Program and Departmental Support:
- Serve as subject matter expert in Operations & Supply Chain Management.
- Support the Department Head and Program Chair in ensuring course and program alignment with university and accreditation requirements.
- Recommend curricular and resource enhancements to the Department Head.
Report equipment and resource needs promptly.
Administrative & Community Engagement:
- Attend faculty and departmental meetings when requested.
- Participate in orientation sessions, professional development workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
- Support the School’s accreditation and quality assurance activities.
Represent the University in professional and academic forums as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship (or a closely related field) from a top 500 QS-ranked university, preferably a Western-accredited institution.
- Demonstrated record of effective teaching and research publications in highly ranked Scopus-indexed journals.
- Preference given to candidates with Canadian academic affiliation (Canadian qualifications, teaching experience at a Canadian university, or other professional linkage to Canada/North America).
Middle East teaching experience preferred.
Commitment Required:
This is a part-time teaching position requiring availability for scheduled class hours, limited office hours for student support, and attendance at designated faculty/department meetings.
