Part-Time Pet Sitter – Midday Dog Walking & Home Visits

Little Bay Pet Services is currently seeking a dependable and active Pet Sitter to provide midday coverage in Rye, New Castle, Portsmouth, and nearby areas (within a 5-mile radius). With over 17 years of experience delivering reliable pet care, we’re looking for someone who can help us maintain that standard while keeping pets safe, happy, and well cared for during the day.

Role Overview

In this role, you will visit clients’ homes to provide midday pet care and dog walking services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Walking dogs and ensuring they get proper exercise
• Feeding pets and refreshing water
• Providing attention, care, and companionship
• Administering medications when required (oral, transdermal, or injections preferred but not mandatory)
• Monitoring pets’ behavior and overall well-being
• Performing light household tasks such as watering plants, collecting mail, and basic home checks
• Sending updates and photos to clients through our mobile app

Schedule Requirements

• Part-time availability between 10 AM – 4 PM
• Weekend availability is required (rotating schedules available if you also work weekdays)
• Availability during holidays and school vacation periods is essential

Location & Transportation

• Must reside in or very close to Rye, New Castle, or Portsmouth, NH
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working outdoors and driving in varying weather conditions

• Ability to confidently handle dogs up to 120 lbs
• Awareness of pet behavior and safety practices
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy

Basic Requirements

• Background check clearance
• Smartphone for scheduling and communication
• Consistent and reliable transportation
