Part-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner | Aurora, CO

Location: Aurora, CO
Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible | Minimum 4 shifts per month; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60–$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus
Benefits: Benefits available for eligible clinicians

Position Summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.

This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging

Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management

Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR

Code and bill services appropriately

Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license

Board certification required

PA: NCCPA certification

NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

Active DEA license or ability to obtain

Ability to treat patients of all ages

Active BLS certification

EHR proficiency

Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
