PART-TIME PROOFREADER

Location: Stamford, Connecticut

Compensation Range: $32 - 37 per hour

Our client is seeking a meticulous, agency-seasoned Proofreader to join our client's creative team on an ongoing, ad hoc basis. This is a part-time contract role. You will act as the final line of defense, ensuring that every piece of content-from high-level brand campaigns to promotional assets-is polished, consistent, and error-free.

Responsibilities:

• Precision Proofing: Review copy for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors with a "zero-mistake" mindset.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to internal style guides and maintains a consistent brand voice.
• Fact-Checking: Verify links, dates, promo codes, and pricing during promotional cycles.
• Formatting Oversight: Check for visual consistency in layouts, including line breaks, font usage, and alignment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our Creative Copywriters and Project Managers to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a proofreading or copy-editing role, ideally within a fast-paced creative agency or high-growth in-house brand.
• Adaptability: Comfortable with an ad hoc schedule and able to pivot quickly during peak promotional periods.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) and time-tracking software.
