Part-Time Property Grounds Cleaner / Litter Removal

Job Description

Tidy Troopers Commercial Cleaning LLC is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to help maintain the exterior grounds of two commercial properties located in Downers Grove and Oak Brook, IL. The properties are located about 5 minutes apart off Butterfield Road.

This is a part-time morning position, working Mondays and Thursdays, for approximately 5–6 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, works independently, and takes pride in keeping properties clean and well-maintained.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include general exterior litter removal and trash corral area maintenance.

Duties include removing visible litter and debris from:

• Parking lots, including drive aisles and parking stalls
• Sidewalks and pedestrian walkways
• Building perimeters within approximately 10–15 feet of structures
• Landscape beds, curbs, and parking lot islands

Litter and debris may include:

• Paper, plastic, bottles, and cans
• Cigarette butts
• Food waste
• Miscellaneous loose debris

Trash corral area maintenance includes:

• Picking up loose trash and debris within and immediately surrounding trash corral areas
• Consolidating displaced bags or loose items back into dumpsters
• Excluding oversized items or items weighing more than 10 lbs

Waste hauling is handled by a separate vendor.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to travel between the Downers Grove and Oak Brook locations
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work independently
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to walk, bend, and pick up litter throughout the shift

Schedule

• Monday mornings
• Thursday mornings
• Approximately 5–6 hours per week

Pay

$16.50 per hour
