This position is ideal for those who excel in Python and have experience in scientific computing, offering the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis from home.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Python-based models and frameworks to support specific research initiatives.
• Collaborate remotely with our research team to understand project specifications and deliver tailored software solutions.
• Optimize the performance of existing models and ensure seamless integration with current systems.
• Document all development processes and maintain comprehensive software functionality records.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in scientific computing.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
• Proven track record of developing simulation models or computational frameworks for academic research.
• Ability to communicate complex technical details effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) and data visualization tools.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals would be an added advantage.
