Job Summary


The Research Analyst supports the Center for Community-Engaged Dissemination and Implementation Research's (CCEDIR) mission to foster meaningful community and academic partnerships that advance health equity through community-engaged dissemination and implementation research. The Research Analyst assists with data collection, management, analysis, and visualization related to CCEDIR's initiatives, including Hoosier Health Check, Get Onboard Active Living (GOAL), the Community-Rooted Collaborations initiative, and other community-based research and evaluation projects.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Lead Evaluator and Founding Director, CCEDIR.
  • Assists with design, implementation, and analysis of evaluation plans for community-engaged research projects.
  • Supports data collection and management using tools such as REDCap, Qualtrics, Excel, and PolicyMap.
  • Conducts descriptive and inferential statistical analyses of quantitative data; supports thematic analysis for qualitative data.
  • Prepares tables, charts, and summary reports for internal use, presentations, and dissemination materials.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards, infographics, and visual summaries of project metrics and community outcomes.
  • Contributes to the preparation of manuscripts, technical reports, grant proposals, and conference presentations.
  • Works closely with the Founding Director, Lead Evaluator, and project teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Attends CCEDIR staff meetings and contributes to cross-project learning and data-sharing efforts.
  • Upholds CCEDIR's core values of humility, respect, and reciprocity in all community and academic interactions.

Qualifications


EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, data science, social science, or related field.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Arts (MA)) in public health, applied health science, or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • Experience with public health and community-engaged or participatory research.

SKILLS

Required

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and one or more statistical software programs (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), R, or Stata).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS).
  • Familiarity with evaluation frameworks (Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance (RE-AIM), and Logic Models).
  • Appreciation for community-engaged research approaches.

This position is eligible for remote work or to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

Work Hours


15 - 20 hours per week
