Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Research Coordinator Infusion Nurse to join our dynamic research team. Duties
- Administer infusion treatments such as Botulinum toxin and other investigational medications following strict protocol guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physical examinations to determine eligibility and safety for participation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, document procedures accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patients during infusions for adverse reactions or complications, providing immediate intervention when necessary.
- Educate patients about procedures, potential side effects, and post-infusion care instructions to promote understanding and comfort.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all procedures, medication administration, and patient responses in medical records.
- Assist with research data collection, specimen processing, and ensuring adherence to study protocols aligned with NCQA standards.
Skills
- Proven experience with IV infusion techniques, including venipuncture and aseptic technique.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and pharmacology related to infusion therapies.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
- Ability to perform patient assessments, vital signs measurement, and basic laboratory procedures like phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
