Part-Time Security Agent- Overnight Shift

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Agent to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patrolling entire establishment (outdoors and indoors), and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a professional with strong conflict management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Security Agent plays a crucial role in loss prevention and safeguarding assets through proactive surveillance and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks
• Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security protocols
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of security activities
• Control access points with awareness and by proactively patrolling the area
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behaviors and preventing theft or vandalism
• Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot area

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security preferred
• Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security best practices
• Experience working in high-pressure environments requiring vigilance and quick decision-making

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including patrols throughout the property
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs as required during shifts
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Must have sufficient visual acuity to observe surroundings and read reports
• Must have sufficient hearing ability to respond to alarms, radios, and verbal communication
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and move swiftly when necessary
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to operate standard security equipment
