PART-TIME UX DESIGNER/RESEARCHER

Compensation Range: $70 - 80 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX Designer/Researcher Consultant to join a leading major pharmaceutical company on a part-time contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in user-centered design and research methodologies to drive significant improvements across key digital product areas. You will be instrumental in defining design strategy, creating essential research artifacts, and championing best practices in visualization and user experience.

If you are passionate about translating complex challenges into intuitive, accessible solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment, this 12-month W2 contract offers an exciting chance to influence product development with approximately 5-10 hours per week of focused, impactful work.

Responsibilities:

• UX/UI Deep Dive: Conduct thorough UX/UI assessments for key product areas, providing recommendations for both quick-win improvements and long-term product development initiatives.
• Design & Research Artefacts: Lead the creation and coaching of essential design and research artefacts, including Lean UX Canvases, Opportunity Solution Trees, Pains/Gains, Jobs To Be Done, and Personas.
• User Research: Develop and lead training materials and workshops focused on gathering user insights through methodologies like observations and interviews.
• Design Guidance: Act as a key partner to Product Owners, providing expert guidance on product design decisions to ensure the design is intuitive, accessible, and solves core user problems.
• Prototyping & Testing Support: Support the experimentation and design process , including the creation of prototypes and contributing to design sprints.
• Visualization Best Practices: Educate teams on design and visualization best practices using tools like Figma/Miro .

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
• Expertise in user research methodologies (interviews, observations) and translating findings into design artefacts.
• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Miro).
• A proven track record of collaborating with Product Owners and engineering teams to ship intuitive products.
• Pharmaceutical experience.
