Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist (CSR / Client Service Representative)

The Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) with prior veterinary hospital experience. In this fast-paced emergency setting, you will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, delivering compassionate customer service while managing front desk operations, patient intake, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multi-line phone systems and handle high call volume
• Provide excellent client communication and customer service
• Manage patient flow using OTW (On-The-Way) and outpatient tracking boards, prioritizing patients based on medical urgency
• Greet clients and patients with professionalism and empathy
• Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
• Email records and assist with referral coordination
• Maintain a clean, organized veterinary front desk / lobby area

Schedule (2 Shifts Available):

Job Type: Part-Time

• Fridays: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sundays: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements:

• Previous veterinary receptionist or animal hospital front desk experience
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive, compassionate attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with veterinary practice management software (e.g., Instinct, Avimark, Cornerstone)
• Familiarity with emergency veterinary medicine or critical care environments

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and move throughout the hospital
• Comfortable using computers, phones, and office equipment
