Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in parts management and customer service. Duties

  • Manage inventory levels through accurate data entry and inventory control systems, including ERP and order management systems
  • Source and procure OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness through negotiation with suppliers
  • Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery of parts while maintaining warehouse organization and safety standards
  • Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify parts requirements for repairs and maintenance projects
  • Maintain supplier relationships by managing procurement processes, tracking orders, and resolving supply chain issues promptly
  • Support demand planning efforts by analyzing inventory trends and forecasting future needs based on dealership service schedules
  • Conduct regular warehouse management tasks such as stock rotation, cycle counts, and equipment repair oversight using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
  • Assist with automotive service operations by providing mechanical knowledge to support repairs, auto body work, or HVAC-related parts requests
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during shipping & receiving activities while operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment safely
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and inventory distribution across multiple locations

Experience

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Strong background in supplier management, procurement management, and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, and OEM parts sourcing
  • Hands-on warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and equipment repair
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms; experience with CMMS is a plus
  • Knowledge of automotive service processes and dealership operations highly desirable
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory control and demand planning
  • Strong customer service orientation combined with mechanical knowledge to assist internal teams or external clients effectively
