Job Description:
The 3rd Shift weekends Airline Parts Specialist (Fri-Sun) is responsible for supporting overnight aircraft maintenance operations by managing aircraft parts inventory, issuing and receiving materials, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory requirements. This role ensures timely availability of aircraft components to support maintenance activities while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation in accordance with industry and regulatory standards. ($18/hr. plus $2/hr. shift differential)
Key Responsibilities:
· Issue, receive, and process aircraft parts, tools, and materials in support of overnight maintenance operations.
· Verify part numbers, serial numbers, and documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
· Maintain accurate inventory records within inventory management systems.
· Perform stock replenishment, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
· Inspect incoming parts for damage, certification documentation, and serviceability.
· Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of aircraft parts and materials.
· Monitor and maintain shelf-life controls for time-sensitive components.
· Coordinate with maintenance technicians, vendors, and logistics personnel to support operational needs.
· Process shipping and receiving transactions, including hazardous materials when applicable.
· Maintain compliance with company/airline policies and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
· Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations by expediting parts requests as needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and secure stockroom environment.
· Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in aviation parts, warehouse operations, or related field preferred.
· Knowledge of aircraft parts, tooling, and aviation inventory processes preferred.
· Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, parts catalogs, and regulatory documents.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
· Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance if required.
Working Conditions:
· Full-time 3rd shift position (overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as operationally required).
· Work performed in warehouse, hangar, and ramp environments.
· Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and operational equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
