As a Parts and Materials Coordinator, you will be handling all incoming and outgoing deliveries, organizing and inventorying received parts, and managing new program launches. Deliveries to off-site GLS locations, warehouse cleanliness, and being a part of a team that contributes to multiple locations movement of parts to create growth and increase throughput for our client.
Salary Overview:
The pay rate for this role starts at $18 per hour based on experience.
Hours:
The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Parts and Materials Coordinator Responsibilities Include:- Handle all receiving deliveries: FedEx, UPS, and Central Transportation.
- Inventory count of received parts, logging inventory into Excel.
- Label and put parts away into their appropriate location.
- Identifying new incoming programs, organizing parts based on part numbers, labeling, and preparing for the new program to launch.
- Pulling exporting parts for programs to ship, getting parts properly packaged, creating an invoice, and shipping labels.
- Point of contact for parts requests from other GLS locations.
- Travel to off-site locations for delivery when required: GLS Paint Shop, GLS Romulus, GM Tech Center.
- Uphold the warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
Parts and Materials Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be a reliable team player.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.
- Hi-Lo experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn Hi-Lo is required.
Parts and Materials Coordinator Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:
- Your job will consist of you walking, standing, lifting, and sitting throughout the day.
- Climbing, pulling, and pushing demands will be completed as needed.
