The Lead Ticket Agent/Gate Agent/Arrivals Agent will over see the agent workforce and assist in the process of check in / greet customers traveling in a courteous and efficient manner; assist with the ticketing, seat assignments and pre-boarding process as needed. Cross utilized at ticket counter, pre-boarding gate, baggage service, and self-service kiosks areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Pervious service industry experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a telephone and transportation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
- Treat all information as confidential.
- Possess the courtesy and tact to deal with all levels of employees, passengers,
clients and the public.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must complete a criminal background check.
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge.
- Must be able to verbally direct in English.
- Must be a citizen of the United States or possess necessary authorization from the INS.
- Courteously process passengers according to client check-in standards.
- Thank the passenger for their cooperation when assistance is complete.
- Direct passengers with documentation to appropriate entrance for screening admittance.
- Never eat/drink in customer or client view. All beverages prohibited at check-in counter.
- Never be rude or insulting. Summon the security supervisor when dealing with difficult or uncooperative passengers.
- Always complete appropriate documentation.
- Keep supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems in assigned areas.
- Must be familiar with all TSA, FAA, Airline and Company regulations.
- Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from Airline, staff and public in a courteous manner.
- Attend meetings and in-services as required.
- Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records, reports and files as required.
- Must be in proper uniform as directed by company officials and identification badges must always be visible.
- Adhere to company polices and procedures, and participate in achievement of company objectives.
- Utilize company equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective manner.
- Perform other duties as requested.
