Pastoral Care Data Analyst

Overview:

The Pastoral Care Data Analyst works with the Pastoral Care leadership team to conduct research, analysis and generate data reporting for the Pastoral Care and Spiritual Engagement teams to effectively communicate Ministry impact. Utilizes software to generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
  • Utilize and/or create software to collect, cleanse, manipulate, analyze, model, or present data.
  • Provide support to research teams or management by collecting and analyzing data and reporting results based on needs of end users.
  • Collaborate with various function teams such as Marketing, Programming, and IT to achieve results.
  • Assist with the creation, performance, and management of research tools and activities needed to conduct formal secondary or primary research using appropriate statistical methodologies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide regular updates to PC Leadership team and other relevant business stakeholders as directed.
  • Assist with analyzing data, summarizing findings, synthesizing findings with other in-house information, and presenting research to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to exploration and implementation of efficient and effective research methods through acquiring knowledge about product, markets, research methods, and general professional development.
  • Monitor key competitors and analyze marketplace trends to influence business decisions.
  • Work with Team Members to properly code data on input to produce more detailed, accurate, and meaningful output results.
  • Work with data services team to collect, code and store supporting data from which to produce reports and dashboards focused on KPIs
  • Develop strategic and effective reports that easily communicate the vision, direction and impact of the Pastoral Care and Spiritual Engagement teams while identifying additional metrics that enhance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strategic interdepartmental partnerships and relationships to assist in pulling tools and data to enhance Pastoral Care data/reporting needs while supporting the needs of the overall Ministry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Data Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or other related field with emphasis in quantitative methods; or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in market research and/or analysis desired.
  • Experience working with research software (e.g., survey design software such as Qualtrics, SPSS/SAS or other statistical software, Text Analytics) and fluency with core MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) are a must. Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, QDA Miner, Nielsen or equivalent research software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Understanding of respondent privacy protocols while conducting research.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent Ministry and executive staff professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to discern and analyze the critical elements of large sets of information.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment or independently in fast-paced environment often with minimal supervision, sometimes under tight deadlines, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Possess written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn and grow. Experience or commitment to learn call center measurements and metrics.
