Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Develop new and creative dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all pastry products.
- Supervise and train pastry team members in proper techniques and production standards.
- Manage inventory and order supplies while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to plan and execute special events and promotions.
- Monitor baking schedules to ensure timely delivery and availability of products.
- Inspect raw and finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
- Stay updated on pastry trends and techniques to continually improve offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, or Culinary Arts.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or bakery.
- Strong knowledge of dessert techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Creativity and passion for pastry innovation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
