Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Develop new and creative dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across all pastry products.
  • Supervise and train pastry team members in proper techniques and production standards.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Monitor baking schedules to ensure timely delivery and availability of products.
  • Inspect raw and finished products to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Stay updated on pastry trends and techniques to continually improve offerings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, or Culinary Arts.
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen or bakery.
  • Strong knowledge of dessert techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Creativity and passion for pastry innovation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Work Conditions:
