Job Summary:

The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role requires creativity, precision, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards to ensure high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal menus in line with company standards.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all items.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff when required.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely production.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry decoration, and dessert plating.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
