Pastry Chef

JOB LOCATION - Fujairah, UAE (Flights and accommodation provided)

The Pastry Chef assists in the preparation and production of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency. This role supports the Head Pastry Chef and other kitchen staff in daily operations, from ingredient preparation to the final presentation of dishes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERINECE

• 2+ years’ experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker in a 5* establishment.
• Experienced in working as a Private Chef for VVIP clients highly regarded
• 2-4-year culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training
• Strong knowledge of cooking philosophies and principles

Culinary Expertise

• Mastery in creating pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty cakes
• Skilled in chocolate work, sugar art, and seasonal dessert menus
• Strong understanding of dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, etc.)

Creativity & Presentation

• Ability to design visually appealing and innovative pastry displays
• High attention to detail and artistic flair in plating and buffet presentation

Kitchen Management & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and HACCP standards in the pastry kitchen
• Ensure proper storage, inventory control, and procurement of ingredients

Adaptability & Confidentiality

• Flexible to cater to changing daily menus and last-minute guest requests
• Maintain utmost confidentiality and professionalism in a VVIP setting

Team Collaboration & Time Management

• Coordinate with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff for smooth operations
• Efficiently manage prep and service timelines, especially for events and occasions
