Pastry Chef

Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, artistic flair, and a passion for delivering exceptional sweet creations while maintaining consistency and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and confections
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu offerings
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Monitor inventory and order baking supplies and ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff
  • Manage portion control and minimize waste
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning and special events

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and dessert presentation
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Culinary or pastry certification is preferred
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
