Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, artistic flair, and a passion for delivering exceptional sweet creations while maintaining consistency and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and confections
- Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu offerings
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
- Monitor inventory and order baking supplies and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff
- Manage portion control and minimize waste
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu planning and special events
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and dessert presentation
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Culinary or pastry certification is preferred
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
