Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in baking and pastry production, attention to detail, and a passion for creating high-quality desserts and baked goods. This role involves preparing a variety of pastries, maintaining consistency in recipes, and ensuring all products meet our quality and presentation standards.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and production schedules
- Ensure all pastries are presented attractively and meet quality standards
- Assist with developing new desserts and seasonal menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and pastry station
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and supplies and notify management when restocking is needed
- Assist with packaging and preparing products for display or customer orders
- Work with the team to ensure daily production goals are met
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pastry chef, baker, or in a professional bakery required
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
