Pastry Chef - Chocolate Speciality

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef with strong expertise in chocolate artistry and production. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision, innovation, and high-quality dessert creation, with a focus on chocolate-based products including pralines, bonbons, truffles, showpieces, and plated desserts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce high-end chocolate products and desserts
  • Temper chocolate using various techniques (tabling, seeding, etc.)
  • Create molds, fillings, ganache, and decorative chocolate elements
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and hygiene standards (HACCP compliance)
  • Manage inventory and sourcing of premium chocolate ingredients
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff when required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chocolatier
  • Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, molding, and decoration techniques
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
