Pastry Chef ( Commis II)

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis II (Pastry) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and viennoiserie items
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef
  • Prepare mise en place for daily operations and service periods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in line with hygiene standards
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items (FIFO method)
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or spoilage

Requirements:

  • Minimum 01–02 years of experience in a pastry or bakery environment
  • Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert plating
  • Culinary or pastry diploma/certification preferred
  • Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering companies in the GCC is an advantage
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
