We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis II (Pastry) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and viennoiserie items
- Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef
- Prepare mise en place for daily operations and service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in line with hygiene standards
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items (FIFO method)
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or spoilage
Requirements:
- Minimum 01–02 years of experience in a pastry or bakery environment
- Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert plating
- Culinary or pastry diploma/certification preferred
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering companies in the GCC is an advantage
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
